Just a really quick post to share with everyone that I was a lucky recipient of Influenster's Bride to Be Voxbox and I must say that I feel so lucky! This is the third box they have sent me and I am so grateful and amazed at everything they sent me.
I lot a pair of Kiss' new everEZ lashes, Dream Water, Rescue Remedy Gum and Schwarzkopf Professional - BC Hairtherapy Repair Rescue!
I have had the chance to try everything which is why I have taken so long to write this but I am so happy with most of it. I already wrote a post about the Kiss lashes but all I can say about the Rescue Remedy Gum is that I love it! It is a homeopathic therapeutic gum that is helpful with stress relief and I don't know if it is just me but it worked great for me. As far as the hair treatment, well they sent me full size bottle of the shampoo, conditioner, and repair cream. They worked good but not amazing so I don't know if I will purchase this but I will test it a few more days and get back to you on that. The Dream Water is just what the name states, a water that is a sleeping aid and it didn't do anything for me so I can't say much about it. As far as the box itself, I am very very happy with it and grateful to Influenster for making me part of their program. I did receive this box for free and only for review purposes. I am not getting paid for this and all opinions are my own! THANKS INFLUENSTER!

Kiss Lashes everEZlashes
So I received these lashes as part of the Influenster VoxBox program which anyone can sign up for and I am going to tell you guys in a simple post that I love these lashes. I normally wear lashes from Red Cherry, Miss Adoro and Mac but these are my new favorite lashes. I had tried Kiss lashes last year when I bought a few at The Makeup Show in Los Angeles but was not a fan.
Now the cool thing about these lashes is that they come with some strings that are designed to make the application of the lash easier but I found that the strings were a little difficult for me pull off so I had to take off the lash and take off the strings. Then I applied them the way I normally apply my other lashes and they worked perfect for me. I don't know if maybe the strings were a fluke on my pair of lashes because I have heard that some people like them but the design of the lashes made up for the fluke. They looked so natural and I got compliments on "my lashes" all day when I wore them. Totally recommend to anyone so go out and get them because they are truly fabulous. They look so natural! A MUST BUY ladies

Basic Makeup ideas for school (13-16)
Hey gals! I am back with another post and today I want to talk about the most popular question right now. How should I do my makeup for back to school?
This is such a popular topic because obviously we have a new generation of teenager girls wearing makeup and they need help figuring this out. Personally, I feel that the right age to start wearing makeup, and I'm talking very minimal no foundation makeup is about 16 maybe 17. I started wearing heavy makeup at 13 and it was a big mistake. I am now 25 and find myself buying lots of products to help with all my premature wrinkling that came on due to the cake I would put on my face every morning. However, that does not mean I will not help out all my beautiful girls wanting to wear makeup.
First off, because you are very young so, I would suggest staying away from foundation. Keep your FACE makeup minimal, so if you need a little coverage because of say those ugly villain pimples, then go with a little powder foundation or a tinted moisturizer. Always keep in mind that everyone's skin is different so if you have oily skin, tinted moisturizer may not be the best option. In that case, wear a powder foundation. The same applies if you have dry skin, go with a tinted moisturizer to counteract the dryness in your skin. If you feel the need to wear concealer, then go with a light concealer, BUT I know pretty well that at a young age, concealer is not a must. Especially because I did not need concealer until I was 23. You also want to make sure you add a little warmth to your skin by adding a little bronzer or blush. A LITTLE is the key word here.
Next, the EYES. When you are back in school, we all want to look cute but let's face it, we are there to learn so let's not focus on looking like a beauty queen. Keep the eyes very simple so go for a wash of any light shimmery color you like (the shimmer will keep your eyes looking more awake and brighter). Maybe add a little definition in the crease are by applying an eyeshadow that is 2 shades darker than your skin tone. Keep the colors light so that they can match most of your outfits and you don't have to worry about buying all these eyeshadow palettes. Then mascara, keep that as light or heavy as you'd like. I love mascara so I m not one to tell anyone to skimp on it EVER! Lashes are really a feature that looks amazing when accentuated on anyone, any age.
When it comes to eyeliner, it's really all up to you. Black, brown, blue or whatever color you'd like. I would suggest wearing a brown because black is too harsh on a young girl but it still looks like eyeliner. Then for those days when you want to look a little bolder, wear a bright colored eyeliner, like blue, green or even purple just to change it up a little bit.
Now, LIPS. I personally feel that lipstick is beautiful, I AM OBSESSED WITH LIPSTICKS, BUT, I think that for a younger girl, lipgloss is much more appropriate. A shiny lipgloss will make any girl look so sweet and innocent, even if you're not ;) However, lips are my staple feature so if lips are what you want to emphasize, then go for it. Do what you'd like.
I basically just gave you girls an idea for basic makeup. Some of you may be disappointed because I did not offer specific color ideas but honestly, everyone is different. Some of you may not even agree and want to do a full on smokey eye everyday but keep in mind that you are in school so this means there are lots of special event to go to like Homecoming, Prom and other stuff and if you glam yourself up for school everyday, how is a dance going to be any different? FOOD FOR THOUGHT!
I sincerely hope that this post helps you at least a little and that you can take some of this information and incorporate it into your makeup routine! Please feel free to leave comments if you found this helpful!

Sheer Cover Duo Concealer

Hey guys, so I decided to do this review for a product that was sent to me for free to review through Influenster's Vox Box program and as much as I wanted to be in love with it, I wasn't :(As it says in the name, this is a sheer product so if you want a lot of coverage from a concealer, then this is not a good product for you which in my opinion, is the whole purpose of concealer. The consistency is so creamy, and smooth (I love it) but the downside is that once you apply this product, it starts to settle into your wrinkles as soon as you have applied it. Their color selection is also not the best since I believe they only offer 3 or 4 different shades and although they are duo concealers (one is peachy toned, one yellow toned) they won't match everyone. Since I am pretty fair, anything is easy to match my skin but I am sure that won't be the case for everyone.
This product is also not long lasting at all so all in all, this product is not one that I would buy, BUT I believe that for someone who needs light under eye coverage, and someone who is also young WHO DOESN"T have wrinkles, this would work out fine. I think I am still going to test it out some more and try different application methods to see if this changes my mind but for now, I am not very impressed. Sorry Sheer Cover :(As of 6/21/2012, I am actually more impressed with this product than in my initial post. I ended up using this product with a damp sponge and then applying my Mac MSF in Natural Light and the combination looks amazing, but there is still some minor creasing so I stand by my initial thought that this product may not be suitable for everyone.
This is from their website:

Who doesn't love a Beauty Blender?
Just not the price right? I personally cannot bear to part with $19.95 for one though. I mean, ok, yes they actually can give you a better finish than most brushes but I have yet to run into any sponge that will last as long as any of my makeup brushes. I have had some Mac brushes for 7 years and they are still in a great condition but I refuse to put any makeup sponge to that test, NO THANKS!
I mean, $19.95, that's more than a Mac lipstick, or even an eyeshadow so naturally, when I found out Ebay had some dupes, I thought to myself "why not?". So I ordered a few and I found out that I was right in not wanting to spend that money on another Beauty Blender. The Ebay version did the same job for a lot less money and I am so happy that I chose the cheap version because I paid only $2.47 and zip for shipping. YES FREE SHIPPING so this means you can order 9, 25, 2, 34 or even 105 and not worry about shipping. At almost $2.50 for these "beauty sponges" you really can't go wrong so check them out if you want to find a cheaper alternative to the ever so infamous Beauty Blender!
Now, for those of you that don't know what the Beauty Blender is, well I suppose I could go on and on about it but I won't so I will just summarize what I think is essential to know about this makeup sponge. It is exactly, this, a makeup sponge designed to create an airbrush effect to your skin when you apply foundation. They are very much like regular cosmetic wedges that our mom's used back in the day BUT these are much more durable, and will last you a lot longer than one application. The great thing about them as well is that with the pointed side of these sponges, you can use them to get into small areas like your undereyes, and around your nose. There is one other thing about these sponges that makes them awesome! THEY ARE WATER ACTIVATED! You run them under warm water and they start expanding to about double their size or maybe just a tad less but of course you do squeeze out the excess water. The water just gets your sponge ready for application and some people don't understand the purpose of this but here you go.

- The water in the sponge prevents it from absorbing too much product
- The damp sponge on your skin helps your pores absorb the product better to give you a better longlasting foundation effect.
- The application is less streaky, giving you a polished almost airbrush effect
So there you go, I explained what a Beauty Blender/beauty sponge is and I gave you guys a much much MUCH cheaper alternative but if you still want to be a snob and check out the original (just kidding you're not a snob) check them out here http://www.beautyblender.net/sponge.html to find a retailer near you! If you really don't trust Ebay like I know some people don't you can also get the Sonia Kashuk dupe from Target but I didn't like that as much as the Ebay one, and it was $10.00 so yeah ;)

Finally I got my hand on YSL
So this weekend, I was feeling a little fancy and decided that since I haven't really been shopping for much for myself, I wanted to get something I had been lusting after for quite some time now and that was of course the YSL Rouge Volupte lipstick and the Volupte Sheer Candy balm.![]() |
| From Top to Bottom, Cool Guava, Peach Passion , and then both |

First of all, let me say that I am IN LOVE with these and I am sooooooooo tempted to sell all my Mac lipsticks just to be able to get some more YSL shades. The Rouge Volupte I purchased was the the number 13 in Peach Passion. This is more of a coral color rather than peach but then again if you think about it, peaches are really coral aren't they? LOL! The lipstick is a peachy pink color and it's creamy, pigmented, and smells like mango! I did try this one over the weekend and it's a little drying but not too bad at all. I haven't had them for too long so as of right now, I can't really give you dupes for these shades but I will work on it, and do a video for you all because let me just say that 34.99 is too much to pay for these in my opinion. I also got the Volupte Sheer Candy in number 09 Cool Guava which is a sheer pink with shimmer balm. First let me tell you that when i purchased this, I did not realize there was any shimmer in this glossy balm, so when I applied it, I was a little upset that it was not applying as smooth as I wanted it to but then I realized it had shimmer so I really don't mind it now. These balms are some of the most expensive balms I have ever seen since I am used to the average $2-$3 for an EOS balm so I really don't think I'll fork out another $30.00 for them but it is nice to have at least one. It is very hydrating for sure and looks pretty glossy but nothing it does is worth the $30.00
Overall, I am happy with the Rouge Volupte and will definitely purchase more shades but the Volupte Sheer Candy, I think we can all pass on! I really hope that I can get more followers soon because I have promised myself that if I get enough, I will give away at least one YSL lipstick to a lucky follower so I hope you can all help me by getting me more since it benefits you!!! AND LET ME JUST SAY THANK YOU FOR BEING SO LOYAL AND READING MY BLOG! It means a lot and I feel I don't thank you enough so THANKS!
